Lemon Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup LTO Lemon EVOO (can use Vanilla EVOO, Orange EVOO or Walnut Oil
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cups All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • Grated rind of one lemon (use orange if using Orange EVOO)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Grease and flour loaf pan
  • Cream sugar and EVOO
  • Add 2 eggs and lemon zest and beat
  • Stir in dry ingredients together
  • Add creamed mixture alternately with milk
  • Spread into pan
  • Bake 40 minutes
  • After baking (while still hot) pokes holes into the loaf with a toothpick, spoon on the following: Juice of 1 lemon and 1/4 cup sugar mixed together - sugar will dissolve
