Lemon Bread
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup LTO Lemon EVOO (can use Vanilla EVOO, Orange EVOO or Walnut Oil
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 1/2 Cups All purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Dash of salt
- 1/2 cup Milk
- Grated rind of one lemon (use orange if using Orange EVOO)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Grease and flour loaf pan
- Cream sugar and EVOO
- Add 2 eggs and lemon zest and beat
- Stir in dry ingredients together
- Add creamed mixture alternately with milk
- Spread into pan
- Bake 40 minutes
- After baking (while still hot) pokes holes into the loaf with a toothpick, spoon on the following: Juice of 1 lemon and 1/4 cup sugar mixed together – sugar will dissolve
