Bacon Jam Burger
Ingredients
- 8 potato rolls or your favorite burger buns
- 6 TBSP LTO Sweet Cream Butter EVOO – divided
- 2 pounds Ground chuck divided into 8 patties
- 8 slices Gruyere cheese
- 8 leaves green leaf lettuce
- 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Hot pepper bacon jam
Instructions
- Working in batches, add Sweet Cream Butter EVOO to a skillet on medium heat and add buns, sliced side down to lightly toast. Remove from skillet when the sliced interior is golden brown and lightly toasted. Add more EVOO as needed as you toast the remaining buns.
- Place ground chuck in a bowl and add 4 TBSP Sweet Cream Butter EVOO. Blend together. Flatten ground chuck into round patties and inch larger than the size of the bun, as they will shrink when cooked. Salt and pepper each side and add to separate skillet on medium high heat and cook until the top begins to turn dark red. Flip and top with cheese. Continue to cook until the burger is cooked through.
- Place a slice of lettuce on the bottom of the bun, topped with slices of onion, then add burger patty and top with 2 TBSP ot LTO Hot Pepper Bacon Jam and cover with upper bun. Enjoy!
- Note: You may grill buns and burgers instead of using a skillet if desired.
